Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. We accept credit and debit card payments (excluding American Express). We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, or over the Internet. All internet card transactions occur on secure servers provided and operated by HSBC Realex Payments. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

Please see our Delivery Information page for full details of delivery options. All units are sent Fully Insured whilst in transit. When you take delivery of the unit you must fully inspect the packaging of the unit, if there appears to be any damage (no matter how minor) to the packaging you must indicate such damage on the confirmation of receipt slip the delivery driver will ask you to sign. If upon opening the box you find that the item is damaged you must notify us within 24hrs of the unit being delivered to you, failure to notify us of any damage within 24hrs will waive any possibility of making a ‘Damaged in Transport’ claim with our courier and as such Climachill Ltd shall not be responsible for any damage. You must notify us of any damage by telephone by calling our customer services department on 01273 803820 or emailing us at sales@climachill.co.uk.  Please note that our couriers will only deliver to the ground floor and since Covid19 will not enter your property and as such will only deliver to the outside of your front door. If you are not on the ground floor you must make arrangements for someone to be there to assist the driver when they attempt delivery. For health and safety reasons they are not allowed to carry heavy items up stairs on their own – they must be aided by someone else. If you are not on the ground floor and no-one is there to assist the driver when they attempt delivery they will not deliver the package to you. Please note you will be liable for the delivery costs associated with a non delivery.  We can only offer delivery to a UK address.

Enhanced Delivery services such as Next Day Delivery is available at checkout for an extra cost. This is not a guaranteed service, and although put on a 24hour service, this may not be met and occasionally will take up to 48hours. Some extended areas, will not receive a 24 hour service as this is not achievable, if you think you are in one of these area, please enquire first before purchasing this express service.  For spare parts, as no enhanced delivery service is guaranteed, the courier still charges for a 24hours service even if it takes 48hours to deliver, whilst we are sympathetic to the delay please note that we are unable to offer refunds on late deliveries as the courier has still collected an item from us and delivered it to you and that still needs to be paid for.

No courier has a 100% delivery success rate, they make mistakes, vehicles may break down, drivers may call in sick, roadworks and traffic jams may mean a driver runs out of driving hours, all of this could mean your delivery arrives later than requested.  This is all out of our control and whilst we are sympathetic to late deliveries please understand that once your order has left us we rely on the courier to deliver as requested.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, if you choose to pay by credit card you are transferred to secure servers provided and operated by HSBC Realex Payments. Your card details are held by Realex Payments / HSBC and are not held in clear text on any web site .

Guarantee

The customer must keep all packaging supplied with the goods for the duration of the warranty period. This packaging is specifically designed to protect the goods whilst in transit. Failure to keep the original packaging means our courier will not insure the goods if they need to be returned to us, as such if we use our courier then you would be liable for any damage which may occur on its journey back to us.

All products are supplied with a 12 month guarantee / warranty from the date of invoice. Should a fault arise during the 1st 12months please email us first as the majority of faults can be rectified via email communication. Please email us as much information as possible about the problem(s) you are experiencing to office@climachill.co.uk you must include your order number which can be found at the top of your invoice.

Unlike our competitors, after 12months we will continue to support our customers with spare parts availability, if during years 2 or 3 you suffer a parts breakdown (other than the compressor or coils) then we will ship you the new part needed to fix the machine free of charge.  We have had these machines designed so that they are easy to service, changing parts is a straightforward DIY task which of course we will fully explain what needs to be done.

All products sold are for UK use only, no warranty / guarantee is offered for products used outside of the UK.

Please note that our ‘PAC’ range of Portable Air Conditioning Units are not designed to be used 24/7 or for server/comms rooms.  We are unable to offer any warranty should any unit be used in a server / comms room environment.  Please look at the Commercial Range of Broughton Units for this.

You must only use correct manufacturer approved accessories with units, this includes exhaust hoses, manufacturer provided exhaust hoses are the correct diameter and rigidity to enable airflow to be removed from the unit with minimal static pressure.  Using non manufacturer provided hoses will invalidate the warranty, using smaller diameter hoses will invalidate the warranty, using a hose over 3metres total length will invalidate the warranty.

If we need to collect the unit to be repaired by our engineers then the unit will then be returned to you within 7 days either fully repaired or if this is not possible a replacement unit will be sent to you. If NO fault is found then an invoice will be raised for all carriage charges plus a handling charge of £25 +VAT per item which must be paid for before we ship the unit back to you and Climachill Ltd will hold lien over these goods in lieu of payment.

Water

The units create water and this is collected into an internal storage tank, on extremely rare occasions water may leak from the unit if the unit has been damaged in transport (e.g cracked baseplate or water but connector becomes snapped off), you must check the unit prior to operation to see if there is any damage to the base or water but connector as we cant be held liable for any damage if the unit leaks water, we advise that you monitor the unit for the first few hours of operation and check to see if there are any signs of water leakage from the unit instead of just switching it on and leaving it to run continuously. In all cases we cant be held liable for any claims higher than the value of the goods supplied.

Returns Policy

When requesting a return Customers shall be liable for the cost of returning the Goods back to Climachill Ltd. The goods should be fully insured & must be securely packaged in the original packaging supplied with the goods. Goods returned to Climachill Ltd not being in the original packaging supplied with the goods will be rejected. Goods must be returned complete (all items within the box). Goods must be returned in a saleable condition, goods not returned in a saleable condition will not be refunded. If you paid for an upgraded delivery service (i.e guaranteed next day delivery, same day delivery, a timed service or guaranteed Saturday Delivery) this charge is not refundable under any circumstances as it is a surcharge by our couriers.  If you cancel your order by rejecting the delivery when the courier attempts to deliver then courier charges still apply and wont be refunded.  Furthermore we are charged by the courier to return the item to us if you reject the delivery, as such we will deduct this return fee from your refund (£30.00+vat = £36.00).

Business Customers

If you are a business or if the goods are used wholly or in part for business purposes we shall not be liable to you for any business loss including loss of profits (whether direct or indirect) business data, revenue, goodwill, or incidental, or consequential loss that you may suffer as a result of the purchase of goods from us. Any other liability shall be limited to the price paid for the goods.

Business Customers shall have 7 calendar days from the date of receipt of the Goods to cancel their order by giving notice by email to Climachill Ltd at office@climachill.co.uk. Verbal cancellation will not be accepted.

The effective date of cancellation is the date on which the notice is sent.

Business Customers must return the Goods to Climachill Ltd at their expense within 7 days of the date of cancellation, failure to do this will void the return.

Business Returns are subject to a 25% handling / re-stocking fee.

Climachill Ltd shall refund any monies paid by the Business Customer as soon as reasonably possible but in any event no later than 14 days from receipt of any returned items. The refund shall be made by the same method as payment.

Private Buyers (From 13 June 2014)

A private buyer is defined as an individual purchasing goods for their own use, i.e. Not for resale or business use.

A private buyers rights to return goods are protected under the Consumer Contracts Regulations which can be found at http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/contents/made

A Private Buyer shall have 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the Goods to cancel his order by giving notice by email to Climachill Ltd at office@climachill.co.uk. Verbal cancellation will not be accepted.

The effective date of cancellation is the date on which the notice is sent.

The Private Buyer must return the Goods to Climachill Ltd within 14 days of the date of cancellation, failure to do this will void the return or Climachill Ltd shall be entitled to recover the Goods and deduct the cost of so doing from any monies owed to the Private Buyer.

Climachill Ltd shall refund any monies paid by the Private Buyer as soon as reasonably possible but in any event no later than 14 days from receipt of any returned items. The refund shall be made by the same method as payment.

Model Upgrades

Products are often upgraded by manufacturer due to technological advances, also as we sell out of 1x model another will replace it, we normally have a new model reference for new units but sometimes this is missed or there is a crossover period whereby our website doesn’t update quick enough, we will always provide a like for like product in the same capacity as the one ordered and our website will always have the correct technical specification and picture in it of the product which will be delivered
